On Saturday, 2/18, MTNA hosted a come-and-go recital entitled "Have a Heart". Members performed pieces by educational piano composers in hopes that attendees would get ideas of fun pieces to play or teach. Favorites were "Triple Dip", "Toccata Brilliante", and "Balloon Pop Polka!". The recital was held at Gilliam music, and Gilliam put scores of all of the performed pieces on display for audience members to browse through at their convenience. We also held a raffle, in which winner Jeff Richardson won a $50.00 gift card to Gilliam! Congratulations to all who performed!

Piano Matchmaker Success!

MTNA was pleased to facilitate another match for Piano Matchmaker on Saturday, February 11th! Many thanks to Frances Freeman, who graciously donated her piano to the Lugrand family. Check out pictures of little pianist Zachary Lugrand sitting at his brand new piano!

Piano and Pizza!

MTNA members were delighted to host the 3rd biannual Group Piano Review Session on Sunday, 12/11. This event is targetted towards all students taking a group piano class at OU. With final exams coming up, MTNA members use this event to provide free tutoring on exam material and free pizza! We had a great turn-out this year, with over 40 students in attendance and 11 pizzas eaten! There was a lot of positive feedback from students who feel that the review session was really helpful. Good luck to all students on their finals this week!
